Raise awareness it’s not all about money !

We continue to support the brain tumour charity and as the title states in this article, it isn’t all about money, okay it helps but there’s more to this than cash. We are officially linked to the brain tumour charity, and direct many of our site members to their funding links. That’s where you can donate a sum of money and anything is fine to help the cause.

We are officially partnered to the brain tumour charity to fund raise and donate to the cause and their wonderful work. As long as this site remains under my guidance that will be the case. The reason for my interest is simple, my daughter who is thirty four today has terminal brain cancer and it’s heartbreaking. She has four wonderful children and despite all the side issues of this condition she functions fantastically well and remains strong and capable in all areas of her life.

So, what should you do if you suspect a brain tumour ?

Quite simply go to your doctor immediately. Don’t sit it out and if you click the links here you will find all the information you need on symptoms in children, adults and what to look for. The website holds a wealth of information.

The vision
Our vision is for a world where brain tumours are defeated
Your brain is the most extraordinary part of your body. It’s responsible for your ability to move and to communicate. It controls your emotions and stores your memories. It’s the part of you that makes you, who you are.

Yet, at least 88,000 children and adults are currently estimated to be living with a brain tumour in the UK. And the impact can be devastating. Just 12% of adults survive for five years after diagnosis and brain tumours reduce life expectancy by an average of 27 years — the highest of any cancer. Despite this, treatments haven’t changed in 40 years and research into brain tumours is still woefully underfunded. In fact, just 3% of the money spent each year on cancer research in the UK is spent on brain tumours.

We know progress isn’t happening fast enough. We need to do more, if we’re going to find a cure. And we need to do it now. That’s why we’re investing in more forward-thinking research, more specialist support services, and passionately lobbying for more urgent change. We’re committed to improving life for everyone affected and to defending the most incredible part of the human body.

Brain tumours strike fast. But we believe that with your continued commitment and support, we can be the generation that stops them — right in their tracks.

We won’t stop until we have.

Please get informed.

The fate today’s Swansea footballers would never have to endure

Jamal Lowe : Still to be contacted regards his future at Swansea, Langstaff update

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.

Sam Parker hasn’t turned down a new deal, he is willing to negotiate
He was a revelation for the Swans for the few games he played this season, and now it emerges Sam Parker has ‘turned down’ a new Swansea City contract. News is thin on the ground, and some of it just incorrect as he looks to involve his representatives in some further negotiations. Plus his current contract runs for two more years.
