David Wagner ‘ We can deal with Swansea City - We know what they are ‘

David Wagner is trying to manage his Norwich side out of a pretty poor run with todays game being a must win if his Canaries are to fly in to play off contention. And he sounds confident enough to beat the Swans this afternoon.

On his teams recent form
To be totally honest, I totally respect the frustration. The home record, which we have, is just not good enough. That's just the truth. So we don't have to hesitate about this, this is the truth, and we can speak about it. But the truth is, as well, that if we like to come into the play-offs, we have to change this. And it's strange that even if we don't have the home record, which we would love to have, we are in around the mix of the teams to have a chance to make the play-offs. So what I like to say is, frustration, yes, I understand that. But park it for Saturday, because Saturday it's a chance, it's another chance, it's an opportunity, it's a difficult game and it's something where we really have to be at our best.

I can't complain or blame the support which we had so far away, and at home to be fair. But the truth is as well we have to win our home games. If everybody is only focused on the frustration and what happened before this will not help. And I know that everyone who comes to the ground is there to help. So please park your frustration and try to and support your team as best as possible. Because every single supporter can help our chances to be successful. This is why I don't think it makes sense to have frustration in the stadium. Make sure that we really try to get this win.

On Russell Martin
I absolutely respect his career here as a player. I don't really know if I played against him when he was a player and when I was manager at Huddersfield. But I know he was a playing legend here who played for a long time and is now doing his first steps as a manager. First at MK Dons and now Swansea and doing well, very well. So it is, for sure, something special for him to come back to Norwich. They're in a good form. I think everybody can see this. But what does it really count for at kick-off ?

Justifying the poor run
We were in a good form and then we lost against Sunderland at home. Millwall were unbeaten for I don't know how many months at home and then we went there and won. When it starts on Saturday it doesn't count. So for us, we are prepared. We know what they are, what they are doing. We know we have an idea we would like to do against them. And then we will see how it works out, and hopefully we can get the three points on the board.
