Thirty four year old winger training with the Swans
The player in question is a very well known ex Premier League footballer, he has four hundred and sixty five games under his belt scoring sixty five goals. He is now a free agent and training with Swansea City hasn’t gone unnoticed by some of the more astute Swansea channels, and accounts.
The player is Yannick Bolasie, ex Crystal Palace and Everton winger who spent time on loan at Aston Villa back in 2019. That would prove to be the last of his attempts to get with a club looking at Premier League promotion, but he did feature at Middlesbrough on loan in 2021. Yannick Bolasie was admired to have pace and strength as a younger professional. The highest fee he went for was twenty nine million pounds when he changed clubs from Crystal Palace to Everton.
The Frenchman has been capped by DR Congo and for the 2012/13 season he was named in the Championship team of the year. That all said he is now thirty four and basically in search of a contract for eighteen months. We spoke to a source earlier today who stated it’s highly unlikely Yannick Bolasie will get the figures he will want for a contract, however the Swans if nothing else leap in to action when it comes to saving money. Rumours of a contract for Bolasie are a bit premature, that is if there is no agreement made this evening.
If he still has the credentials he showed at Middlesbrough and has the legs for at least two thirds of a Championship season, then Yannick is your man. He won’t cost anything other than a signing on fee for him, he’s a free agent, and an outlet this side has been screaming out for all season.
