Is Luke Williams close to agreeing the new head coach role at Swansea ? **Latest

If you believe the car in a car park theory, or possibly a man in a van as Luke Williams is sighted everywhere from Brecon to a known address in Cadoxton - then it seems he is close to joining the Swans.

Notts County fans are playing it down, some are desperately concerned, and to be honest any supporter who has experienced their decline over recent years should be. The Notts County Mad forum has reacted.

⚽️ MancMagpie : I tend not to listen to hearsay that much, but there's absolutely loads of stuff going around now about LW joining Swansea as manager.
Some of it is just tweeting, but there are other sources that seem more solid. Anyone else seen, heard, bothered, worried? I certainly am !

⚽️ Davy500 : Not bothered at all, if he goes fair play to Luke, if he stays also fair play to Luke. I have said many times the Owners and the set up are the most important things, players and managers can be found to fit the plan, simpla as.

⚽️ The DugOut : I wouldn't fall into the "not bothered if LW goes" camp, he is the best Manager we have had for a long, long time, he would be harder to replace than we may think. But, if whatever offer he got was to good to turn down i would wish him luck but still be sad at NCFC's loss.

⚽️ Shoot_five : For the first time in many years watching Notts I am genuinely very hopeful for the future and have confidence that one manager leaving, a star player being poached, or whatever, isn't a disaster and I get the impression the owners always have a contingency plan. Even during the good times I bet they know keep an eye on who is available and would suit the style, just in case something unforeseen happens.

Notts County fans I’ve always found to be resolute in the face of that unlikeable lot across the road. A proper club with proper fans, definitely realistic and if this comes to pass you can’t help but feel sorry for them. For Luke Williams now it seems he has a decision to make, and he hasn’t made it yet. That is - do I walk out on the club which stood by me, and I responded, I would do the same. Or, do I jump ship ? The Swansea job is bigger, no mistaking that, but he now has to make some decisions, and of course you can be rest assured he won’t be coming as one entity. The fine print may well be the final hurdle, and we don’t expect anything just yet. Luke wants his assistant to come plus he wants a few guarantees. Have the Swans got their man at last ?
