The Swans had every chance to take all the points from the game yesterday against Plymouth. It’s now clear head coach, Luke Williams has faith in Jerry Yates, albeit whilst ignoring completely Mykola Kukharevych who surely deserves a three game run ?

If the Swans take ten points from these games they will consider it a good job well done. That will put the club on forty three point with seven games to go. The final fixtures are far easier on paper. But we shouldn’t be getting too far ahead on this. The potential to avoid relegation is more positive than some would suggest.

The Swans only failing since Luke Williams took the reins is scoring goals, and of course those twenty three points squandered from winning positions. The new signings will assist with more opportunities but there has to be a resolution to putting goals away. It’s been a problem all season, and the confidence and tactics to improve on leads in games has been desperately missing. If you are an advocate of the Swans going down then League one had better watch out !
Yesterday was a prime example in what everyone knows, the chances missed were shocking, The two from Jerry Yates and one from Charlie Patino would have at least earned the Swans a point.

These figures haven’t changed that much.
The Swans are up there with the amount of times they have hit the woodwork this season, plus on chances not taken. That has to change. Relegation may well become a real fear with those next four fixtures taken in to account. Even after these games certain fans will be predicting League One. However, that’s very unlikely.
It’s very unlikely there will be any real relegation fears once the next four games are done with. The fans have to remain supportive and positive, I mean what is gained by being in doom and gloom mode for the rest of the season ? Many of us have been here before, sadly the last seven years have seen a genuine decline in support and hope at Swansea City. Only after the summer business is done and the first block of games next season are played out will we get a real flavour. Then will be the time to properly demonstrate and get organised. As it stands nobody seems that bothered, the spirit of the new millennium that save the Swans seemingly not what those born in this century are capable of reproducing.
It’s no good complaining and then doing nothing about it, it’s the same for the present, what’s the point ? Andrew Coleman and his ‘staff’ do deserve until the end of September to get it right. If not the gloves have to be off, or yes, we will be losing our prestigious place in the Championship or indeed looking like likely contenders to return to the Premier League.
