Swans Transfer Latest : Noel Milleskog, the nearly man all round and not just on the pitch

We have been talking to a couple of the people close to Swedish forward, Noel Milleskog. Those contacts were made during the summer when Jason Levien put the brakes on a deal for the player to have more dialogue with Swansea City about his personal position.

To clarify that, the Swans future (investors) were under discussion and Levien had released the very bare minimum to Chairman, Andrew Coleman who had to raise funds from player trading in the main. There was no way Levien was going to put any money at all into a club he was negotiating to leave.

From our somewhat bold approaches back in the summer we have had a steady relationship with some helpful contacts in and around the Allsevnskan, the top Swedish league. We reported on Noel in the summer, in fact this was one of several reports we were fortunate to have been helped with.

⚽️ Noel Noel

To quote Noel, "A lot has been written and rumoured, and I only take it as positive,” he said when asked about the interest in him. "I see it as a carrot to continue and take it as a sign that it has been a good season. There is nothing that affects me negatively, that I fly away or think about something else. My thoughts are one hundred percent in Uppsala and on Sirius. I take it as motivation. It’s great fun,” he said on the Swans interest.

We have made some inquiries and from a telephone call this afternoon it is clear Noel at least is very keen to further the Swans interest. We have been told, ‘There has been some more interest. However, some things need to be completed, and we are sensing that Swansea have some other ideas apart from Noel’ Well, that’s good news, the Swans are not putting all their eggs in one basket, and now with some more finances available they have to review the club and its financial situation regards profit and sustainability.

Noel is being handled currently by BR Group Management (YouTube @brgroupmanagement3771) and they we are told are open to talks for the forward who has had another decent season for IK Sirius. They finished ninth in the table, the season has now ended, above the likes of IFK Göteborg and IFK Norrköping. Sirius won twelve of their thirty games drawing five and losing thirteen. Noel scored nine goals and also registered five assists. His position is striker, but he is a small build and quite lightweight for that title. He is more of a forward preferring to cut in from the left or the right in the final third.

As it stands he is in pre season shortly for his club.

He is one to keep an eye on, and would have signed for the Swans in the summer but Florian Bianchini seemed to be the preferred option. The other criteria is the protocols attached to ‘Governing Body Endorsements’ for 2025. Noel doesn’t fit the criteria as it stands, there can be other ways of securing his services. There is now a system called ESC (Elite Significant Contribution player) which can be utilised for players like Noel. The Swans have four ESC slots in 2025. The processes behind this initiative is to get younger or more significant players who don’t meet the GBE requirement a chance to play in the football league.

Noel is ESC eligible. However his GBE score is low.

We also have access through two of our very supportive sources to WhoScout and the ESC system, there are positive signs, but in no way confirmed. We strive to bring you all the news on the Indy, and we felt this evening we could update all those who ask us daily on this player. It’s not just about the money or the salary, there’s far bigger hurdles out there. The unknowns are never helpful, because not many know what they are.

Clear as mud as per usual ? What did Greavsie say ?

Have a scan at this bright prospect from Sweden.

Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies
There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team. It turned out to be a masterstroke despite a fifteen minute period in the second half, and some uneasy moments at the end of this Championship fixture.
