Swansea City v Plymouth : Match Day Latest & Two Shades Of Alan

The Swans take on Plymouth Argyle this evening at the Swansea.Com (7:45pm) with the home side not as comfortable as some will tell you. We have differing opinions here at the Indy but overall we all agree that three points this evening will pretty much keep the Swans safe in the Championship for another season.

So, let us get this done asap.

Interim head coach, Alan Sheehan was asked some baffling questions yesterday afternoon, there was little to say and little that he could disclose so his interview didn’t have to be so long. This is very much the Alan Sheehan that is the public facing figure of Swansea City. We have to congratulate Swans TV on an insight into the man with their highly bleeped short documentary from this week.

You can watch that below. A different style all round. Of course people shouldn’t be kidded into the fact that a life in football doesn’t come without some colourful words.

Looking at Sheehan’s face when asked about his squad for tonight’s match also tells us that he wasn’t going to let much out regards any players who may be doubtful. There have been some tough games and Saturday’s three points against Derby County was one of them. The draw at Leeds the previous weekend was also hard going. Of course there are players receiving treatment for ongoing rehabilitation, even Harry Darling, but you would think Sheehan isn’t completely settled yet on his team. That’s also below.

The form table isn’t looking too bad. A win tonight will elevate Swansea City up a place in the league and on to fifty one points. The league table first.

And recent form.

You would think our little cousins down the road may just get the points they need.

Argyle manager, Miron Muslić has given the club some hope of survival. They beat Norwich a city on Saturday. Muslić has conformed Nikola Katic will play. The centre half was taken off injured on Saturday. Rumours that one Michael Obafemi will feature at some point tonight, Plymouth are desperate for goals, and the ex Swans man will no doubt want to score them.

We will of course get any news to you today pre match and will carry the teams later this evening.

Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies
There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team. It turned out to be a masterstroke despite a fifteen minute period in the second half, and some uneasy moments at the end of this Championship fixture.
