Swansea City may have their plans scuppered regards any approach for Hammarby head coach, Kim Hellberg. The dragging of the feet and the stalling regards decision making on who to appoint as next Swansea City permanent head coach is now at a crucial stage.
Some would say of course this is a precise and calculated piece of business acumen by the Swans.
Norwich City, we can name as a club who have reviewed not only Kim Hellberg but have also been impressed by interim Swans coach, Alan Sheehan. Norwich are a club looking to appoint positively. Hellberg has crept into the bookies minds as well. The Canaries have more disposable cash to achieve their objective. Now, Russell Martin, another coach with Swansea connections is creeping into the favourites spot it seems.
What this all signifies is that numerous Championship clubs are looking to reposition themselves this summer, if not well before, and in certain cases they are in a better financial position than Swansea City. We spoke with a very helpful source (this morning) on Hellberg and were told he is definitely one for the future, and that future could well be imminent. As a result of this conversation there now seems to be some clarification required. We approached an agent regards the functionality for matters like the new head coach appointment and incoming players, and he gave us a completely different spin on the perceptions of the majority of Swansea City supporters. That’s within our gift to investigate without hindering the clubs objectives.
And it will come in time, but it’s burning away for now.
We will carry some more information on Richard Montague, Brett Cravatt and how they operate as a unit and the real ballbearings of the Swans operation, but that takes hard work and good journalism. What we do know today that not only is Alan Sheehan being noticed, we were the first outlet to report that, and today we know other Championship clubs are tailing the likes of Kim Hellberg. His position has strengthened, Sheehan’s does so by the day.
And the Swans have to make a decision. That’s if Alan Sheehan and Kim Hellberg aren’t having their heads turned as we speak.
