Sheehan deal offered to be head coach at Swansea City

We can reveal exclusively that Alan Sheehan has been offered a detailed contract to become the next permanent head coach at Swansea City. The length of the deal isn’t known to us but is to our sources. The Swans are now waiting for an acceptance of the offer.

We believe there will be more discussions.

Sheehan and his agent met with the Swans decision makers on Thursday and had lengthy discussions. The Irishman laid his terms on the table and from there an offer has been made. That came yesterday. Sheehan now knows what is on offer but the talks are far from over. There will be further dialogue now as both parties edge closer to an agreed deal. Hammarby head coach, Kim Hellberg is not in the frame at all, and as we have stated there was little regards official chats that meant he was even close to the job.

Our information has come from one source in particular who has been extremely co-operative over the years due to his own family having to deal with the trauma of losing a loved one to a brain tumour. There’s nothing in this report that affects Alan Sheehan or the club and this expected news would have been well known by tomorrow morning. Of course people who we work with away from the club don’t hold this type of information as ‘crucial’ as top flight football news. So we thank those who have spoken to us today for their consideration.

If the discussions do go further we will of course choose our words carefully as we always do, so we can bring developments as they happen.

If you report this news we expect as registered journalists that this website is credited appropriately.

We raise funds and promote awareness of brain tumours as an official fund raiser for the brain tumour charity.

Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies
There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team. It turned out to be a masterstroke despite a fifteen minute period in the second half, and some uneasy moments at the end of this Championship fixture.
