Swansea City : What a family Zeidane Inoussa has !

The signing of Zeidane Inoussa from IK Hacken has caused real positivity to go zooming through the veins of Swans fans. It’s been a positive end to the season, so we throw open the window and shed new light on this fantastic signing. We welcome top researcher @SvenskaJourno into the fold.

And have a guess what ? I doubt anyone had heard of him before rumours of his signing started.

Everything about Inoussa seems very modest, coming from a family who reside in Stockholm, raised with his two sisters Soufia who is twenty five and Farydah who is thirty and brother Gaffar. More on him below. Mum and dad are Mounirato who is fifty three, she and her husband, fifty eight year old Aboudou welcomed a newborn Zeidane in Stockholm in 2002.

Doesn’t that make you feel old ?

Our review of Zeidane Inoussa starts with his brother who represents some of his interests in Europe. Gaffar-Hagg Inoussa played football for a few years in the Swedish lower 7b division for Åkermynta IF between 2021 and 2022. He also studied civil engineering in college at the Nacka Akademy and is a football scout at his own company Five star scouting Sweden. On top of this he is a staff member of 11Mangmt who are based in Malaga, Spain. The agency fluctuates in personnel with sixty five players and counting, and thirty six first tier players on their books. They have massive European and world coverage throughout Sweden, France, Slovakia, Morocco and Qatar with a combined market value of €75 million. We suppose now we can add Wales to that list of countries. Intense research by Swans recruitment specialist, Adam Worth aided further identification of Inoussa which Richard Montague quickly progressed. The Swede became one of the top targets for this summer. There is more foundation to this below.

⚽️ Inoussa

While Zeidane Inoussa is known for his footballing prowess, his siblings are also into sport. And they are not just playing at it.

Zeidane’s sister Soufia Inoussa is a retired athlete basketball player. Soufia attended prep school at Solna Gymnasium and played as Guard for KFUM Blackeberg, Stockholm. She helped KFUM Blackeberg to a Regional Championship in the 2018-19 season and a third place finish in the Swedish Championship. She was also a member of Sweden's U20 squad at the Women's European Championship. Some talent for sure. And another remarkable example of this family’s sporting prowess. Before this Soufia played with New Mexico State in the USA for four years and was named the WAC All-Newcomer Team freshman. She averaged 10.9 points per game in 2020-21 and scored a career-high 28 points against Abilene Christian in the 2022-2023 season. Soufia coaches young girls in basketball and is an exceptional inspiration to younger players who are in the same field.

It was at New Mexico University where Soufia studied for a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and is currently studying for an M.S. in Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Innovation at Loyola Marymount University. Her biography quotes her - "My academic focus extends to social work, with a keen interest in addressing race and gender issues. I am driven by the desire to contribute to a more equitable and inclusive society”

Then there is Farydah Inoussa, another intelligent and athletic family member who works in Sweden as a Research Scientist at a biotechnology company specialising in molecular diagnostics. Don’t take her on at Mastermind ! Farydah studied at Stockholm Tekniska college and has a B A. Degree. She majored in Biology at the University of New Orleans in the USA She also has Masters degree in medical science from Uppsala University in Sweden, one of the top one hundred universities in the world. Farydah ran track at the University of New Orleans where she earned the First Team All-Southland honours after the 2014-15 season. She placed first in the heptathlon in the outdoor championships. In high school she was the Swedish junior national champion in the long jump (2012) and ranked number two in Sweden in the pentathlon and heptathlon in 2012. Going back in 2011 she won the Swedish championship in the one hundred metres, then second place in the one hundred metres hurdles. She has a bronze medal in both the long jump and sixty metres hurdles. In 2010 she won the Swedish championship in heptathlon and third place in the one hundred metres hurdles. She followed that up with Swedish junior championship in penthatlon and heptathlon in 2011.

Soufia, Zeidane & Farydah

Let’s take a deep breath there. It seems balls and speed are major family attributes and well supported by their parents. This is what a good and hard working family unit can bring to the sporting fold. We have researched and covered what we can plus our own due diligence.

ZeIdane is already planning his move to Swansea for pre season training which will start in earnest on July 1st, but the preparation for that starts well before.

We will have more on Zeidane very soon. And on any other other family members as they pop up in the ether. This story isn’t over yet.

And of course credit where it is due.

Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies
There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team.
