Swansea City : Time to spill a few beans on this crazy summer window EXCLUSIVE

The Swans rumour mill is flying and as much as we try hard to keep up it is becoming increasingly difficult. However, we do try. So, let’s get into some of those players and the real reasons they appear in links to Swansea City FC.

Over time we have managed to earn the trust and confidence of many sources. It’s been a long road and has taken years. I personally have contacts going back through thirty years of writing, publishing books and being a freelancer for The Mirror, 442, World Soccer just to mention a few. You meet some good people through these ventures, and of course in recent years we have learned a lot from agents, intermediaries and those employed to ‘Jack up’ interest in players. They cleverly mediate with other agents and persons they trust to raise interest.

As we’ve said before, clubs employ agents to source players, they also know that those agents have a vast number of contacts to discuss players and source clubs of interest. This happens throughout the year irrespective of transfer windows and other opportunities to get information out there. So, really they are also putting their own players into the mix as well. No names no pack drill but it’s a very lucrative business, transfers, loans and free agents can make an agent thousands and thousands of pounds, and in numerous cases millions for one transaction.

We haven’t even neared the other value, that’s branding, sponsorship, endorsement and being linked to a club off the pitch. Luka Modrić a prime example to come. Just having someone to fight your corner can be priceless. Oh, by the way we did report first that his house buying venture in Swansea was nonsense. But congratulations to those who hatched it. You got the national newspapers singing.

With that said, and there’s so much more that could be let’s look at the players linked. First off today. Everton player Chermiti was linked a week ago, we announced then he wasn’t coming to Swansea and the club had no interest in Everton players. He has jumped up again today, and the answer is still the same. Joe Worrall at Nottingham Forest was also being bandied about, that is very much a false flag. A few weeks back Ethan Erhahon at Lincoln was linked, that was pretty easy to clear up with good links in that area, it was all pie in the sky. Unfortunately the media went a bit mad on Ethan Galbraith at Orient, again they were using the alleged Swans interest in very early February. That was more of a panic phone call to the London club by then Chairman, Andrew Coleman.

Fortunately a few people stepped in and saved the day with Lewis O’Brien, but the whole deal was incredibly expensive. Ethan Galbraith was a hit and hope, nothing more. As it stands the club have no interest in him at all. Links to Ben Davies were so incredible, especially when alleged decent journalists get involved and stir the pot, then people get excited. They hope ! We reported very quickly that this wasn’t going to happen at the same time as Galbraith and Gora Diouf. Not happening. I bet some have forgotten about him.

Without adding links please search or go straight to our home page, it’s all there.

Today we have Adam Randell of Plymouth, Kodjo Jean Claude Aziangbe who plays for Yokohama F. Marinos, Rocky Bashiri, a centre back at Hibernian and again Chermiti of Everton. We can report exclusively none are of interest to Swansea City. All of this was quickly managed this afternoon. Yes it takes time but it’s the hope that kills you and many Swans fans. As explained above, the reasons are all there. With all due respects to a journalist who broke the Kodjo Jean Claude Aziangbe information, sometimes even these sources are wrong, and on this occasion he is. The same can go for any news source, like everyone they can’t be right all the time and neither can we but we genuinely believe our sources are as good as any that they have.

Our track record over the last eighteen months hasn’t been bad at all. We include the new ownership news three weeks before it was known plus Tyler Morse joining the club. It’s all there for all to see. Theres loads on our news timeline. The internet is a great time stamp. Go back to Steve Cooper and Joel Piroe if you like. It’s all there.

The Swans are working hard on players who will add value to next season, and who are believed to be better than what we have. Melker Widell, Bobby Wales, Inoussa and Ricardo Santos fit that bill. In Santos’s case he is cover. Possibly Wales may be as well. There is more to come there’s no doubt about that, and maybe Swans fans have been unusually spoilt with four new signings already. And let’s not forget, the transfer window opens on Monday and there’s ten weeks of it.

Plenty of time.

Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies
There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team. It turned out to be a masterstroke despite a fifteen minute period in the second half, and some uneasy moments at the end of this Championship fixture.
