Swansea City : Mitrović ,Oh come on that’s madness ! Real transfer updates this evening

The ever increasing demand by people who want news on any player the Swans are linked with is building up to a real frenzy. Fans wanting any striker that the club are linked to are missing the point when it comes to Swansea City recruitment.

The amount of accounts on social media who have stated deals are nearly done or ‘on his way’, or the amount of accounts who keep mentioning players the Swans haven’t even been in for let alone made an offer is increasing. And it gets madder today. Aleksandar Mitrovic, now thirty with forty seven goals in fifty one games for Al-Hilal, and this guy is a proper striker, has been rumoured as a Swans target. Someone somewhere started this rumour, and as much as this thirty million euro striker would be simply stunning, it’s never going to happen. The desire for anything or anyone to be true has clogged this summer window, we have dismissed so many as nonsense people who read these pages will know exactly how it’s all gone. Leeds and Birmingham City seem to be locking horns tonight for his services.

Certain fans are now asking about the length of time it’s taking, where’s Marco Stamenic from Nottingham Forest ? Head Coach, Alan Sheehan has already talked of him as a Swans player on Saturday. This demand for information immediately from people who will criticise you at the drop of a hat is baffling. There needs to be discretion, thought for those who do work hard at revealing certain matters and also protecting sources seems to be lost in a minefield of entitlement and demands.

You can be rest assured if Alan Sheehan is talking about Stamenic then there’s nothing to be concerned about. Nothing at all. Look at all those players that we have discounted this summer, some resurface and in one case there has been additional interest.

⚽️ Karl Etta Eyong
This player is not the player who the Swans have been trying to bring in as a striker alternative. Definitely not the top target. We can’t confirm whether a loan offer was made, but that’s by the by, it’s not happening as of this evening. Suffice to say it doesn’t sound exactly right. Certain reports state he scored 19 goals for Villarreal last season, factually incorrect, that was for the B team. He’s played four games this season in La Liga with one goal. Ever get the feeling agents are so hard at work it’s obvious ?

⚽️ Kaide Gordon
Twenty year old Kaide spent last season at Norwich despite the Swans attending games to watch him beforehand. He moved onto Portsmouth in January but had a very difficult time. Recent reports on the player being of interest at this moment in time are inaccurate. Wethink it’s merely due to interest last summer. We can report the Swans have held no dialogue with Gordon, again of this evening. They weren’t that impressed last summer.

⚽️ As we reported a year ago.
Kaide Gordon needs more time by all accounts to decide on whether to come to Swansea or not. Ruben Providence, who couldn’t be any cheaper last week when Williams stated he liked many of his attributes as a player is still in limbo. How much time the Swans need seems odd ? After bigging the player up after his cameo role against Rio Ave, and then stalling on a deal, the club may well have made it difficult for themselves hence the length of time this is taking. Both Gordon and Providence remain targets.

More updates as we get them.

Swansea City : Jack Butty sails again with his cannons primed
The vultures were circling overhead. The bleached bones of the dead lay all around. Wait…a movement…a moving hand. A hen peckered face turns to the light and screams out, ‘Jack Butty here. I’m back with my latest missive from the defiles of dreadful duplicity.’ The cheers of voices were raised. Jack Butty looked around, ‘You lot can pipe down. You’re all gonners and gooners.’ And so, it came to pass…
New coaches in at the Swans ? Work permits examined & current issues
The Swansea City coaching mystery took another weird step yesterday when we received some information on Tozé Mendes, the new assistant manager to Vitor Matos. Well, in certain quarters he is Vitor’s assistant.
Why is Vitor still on his own ? Defensive insights in Swans collapse at West Brom
It all was going so nicely, well for fifteen minutes of the game yesterday at The Hawthorns. The script unfolded as soon as West Bromwich Albion got ahold of the game. A game which ended just the way most expected.
Swans collapse in a disastrous seventy five minutes of football
A brilliant start from Swansea City this afternoon dived into another order from the menu of disastrous football. Starters of no idea after fifteen minutes, with a main course of incompetence and a big desert of stupidity. They are now equal third bottom with Portsmouth who the Swans play at home on Tuesday 9th December (7:45pm) after a home game next Saturday against Oxford United (3pm)

Swansea City travel to the midlands today with one focus, do not lose the game and begin to rebuild the fans confidence in the team. Vitor Matos : Counter press, counter press, counter press
Vitor Matos took his first full training session today prior to the West Bromwich Albion game at the Hawthorns on Saturday (3pm) With tickets still on sale for the fixture at generous prices the Swans can again expect a noisy supoort for this game.
Swansea City : The glaringly obvious and Matos agrees
Vitor Matos saw a determined Swansea side for the first half an hour of last nights defeat against Derby County. The Rams made it their third win away from home for the first time in five years. Thereafter we saw a tepid display of poor control and a lack of endeavour which is creeping into the Swans play in recent games.
