Vipi very happy plus Sheehan on the League Cup

Alan Sheehan and Pep Guardiola have given us their thoughts on tonight’s game in the fourth round of the League Cup as the Swans go looking for what would be classed as a giant killing. The game is a sell out and the kick off is 7:45pm at the swansea.com.

This morning we catch up with all the news around this fixture. Alan Sheehan spoke about how big the game is for him and the club plus rotation. Yes there will be changes but maybe not as many as we first thought ?

Whilst Pep Guardiola seemed more concerned about Rodri and danger man Haaland, however it looks unlikely neither will play as he concedes that there could be more changes. Tjani won’t start. Guardiola states he probably prepares even more for games like today.

Despite Sheehan’s concern regards suspensions, we have been informed that yellow cards do not carry over to the league, the only carry over is if a player is red carded.

We also are grateful to Swans TV for this insight into Zān Vipotnik. You can be rest assured he will take to the pitch at some point this evening.

The Swans travelled from Swansea to their overnight accommodation prior to taking on Millwall at the New Den tomorrow (3pm) - today. A fully confident squad with more wins than losses in December. Then of course the opening game of the new year on January 1st saw the Swans defeat WBA 1-0.
Is Millwall going to be as tough as some think it will be ? Defender update.
On the treatment table this afternoon have been Ronald (ankle / lower leg) Josh Key (foot injury) Adam Idah (long term hamstring) Ethan Galbraith (slight hamstring tweak) and Liam Cullen who is expected back for Birmingham City. That’s the latest, but things change.
Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies
There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team. It turned out to be a masterstroke despite a fifteen minute period in the second half, and some uneasy moments at the end of this Championship fixture.

Swansea City will be linked with as many targets as the summer and you can be sure of that this winter transfer window. Often made up these sites have no real access to agents or intermediaries who we have in our trust, That’s a two way street.
