For varying reasons I'm not confident enough to get out and about on my bike, so for the next couple of months I'll be using my indoor Turbo Trainer. I'm mindful that at the moment I'll be training based on time rather than distance, so want to get myself a decent milometer. Any recommendations?

Good Vid that Lee, nothing like the Foel though went up earlier wet slippery and muddy, gets a bit nery with the arse end slipping and sliding, think my trips up there are gonna get less and less until next yr, don't fancy another tumble.

It's a bit too on the edge for me! Orion and Rob will be sorting out trips up there!
Hoping to get a couple of rides up the Foel this week if I get home in time and it's not too wet.
You still up for that ride Sat morning?
Life is an adventure or nothing at all.

Went up the Foel last Thursday to ride some of the new trails that have been built,, thought I was going to be nabbed by security at any moment but it was fine. Some dangerous trails up there now!

Coming down the fire road is bad enough Rob, , especially the top.

'Trails drops' is fun, about three quarters of the way up on the right, by the start of the 'Medic trail'. Pretty much `15ft of vertical drop :D Off the breaks, close eyes and hope you roll out of it! :D

You carry on and enjoy I've had one bad fall and that was just from the back wheel slipping away so l don't want anymore. [Smile]
Apologies if this has been discussed but I can't find it.
I'm sure I saw something on the screens in the ground about a charity bike ride on the last day of the season from the ground to crystal palace in 2 days - leaving on Friday may 22.
Sounds a good laugh

Went out for an hr or so yesterday morning up the Foel, tried out my new seal skin socks not impressed at all with them, feet still got cold and they held moisture in making my feet damp waste of 23 quid plus my right foot slipped of the bleeding pedal with the pedal cutting my shin The ride was good though, it was stunning up on top of the Foel it was like a summers day, gonna pop out again later when my hangover subsides

Haha no lol!! I had to get off bike a few times to climb over trees blocking route, making shoes slippery I bought a pair of shimano mt44's good shoe but feet get cold, causing a sensation like pins and needles in the toes. I've got a terrible habit of pedalling a bit backwards coming down slopes, which caused the chain to come off yday, locking the pedals both feet slipped of pedals, very lucky that I didn't come off, that would have hurt as the ground was rough as fuk, no doubt I'll learn the hard way again though. Anyway off up Glyncorrwg for a spin now.

Pins and needles could be the wrong placing of the cleats.

Maybe Fathy, put proper socks on today and feet were ok, but I didn't do any significant cycling today, been back about 20 mins, bleeding knackered, it sorted my hangover though.
Loads out today lovely day for it, although it seems a tad colder today.
Those bleeding stiles they put on the tracks to stop Motorbikes are a bastard pain, caused me to pull my calf muscle trying to angle myself through one without getting off the bike and I was only 3/4's of the way round.
