I did until a raccoon came by, laid waste to my bird feeder, and kept the birds away. Little basturd.
I had quite a crowd of diners, too -- every feeding post taken, with a small flock either cleaning up or butting in. |  |

I dont know if any bird lovers are aware of this but over the last few weeks there's been a pair of Bee-eaters rearing chicks in Cumbria.
Oh and we saw a Stonechat down Aberavon Beach earlier. 👌🻠|
If anyone doesn't know what they look like, I took this pic of a young Bee Eater about 10 days ago in Portugal. There were dozens of them, absolutely stunning.

Little Owl
Barn Owl
Little Egret
Common Buzzard

The second one is a Wheatear looks a bit similar to a Nuthatch but larger, the last one is a female Stonechat. [Post edited 15 Apr 2016 19:49]

I have just seen a bird in my garden i didnt recognise. Here is a description;
black head,
orange/pinky breast
gray back
black tail
white stripe on its upper wing when it was perched.
It was a smallish bird.

After some research, its a bullfinch. His/Her son or daughter was with him/her too. Great to see.
