Each had their own individual atmosphere and many are no longer there but being a Sandfields boy at heart I thought I'd post this to stimulate some nostalgia about the 'good old days'.

Drank in most of those pubs at some point but was a regular in the Builders for years and then the Wyndham, which was f*cking tiny and the Clarence. Then spent a few years in the Potters Wheel before the last five years or so at the Vetch which we spent in Bar Reef up on Walters Road. That place became our "local" for years, we still go there occasionally now it' open again (at least it was last season). |  |

Was normally the Orange House or the Potters before the game then pop into the Singleton after the game to catch the scores then to the Adam and Eve. Would usually end up mangled by the time I got home. Good times.
Always tried to stay a bit further out. Even now I stay way back in the Commercial. Not so much hassle getting served  | |

87 was my first time in the Queens and i fell in love with the place.The clientele were like extras from Shameless but full of characters.We'd buy our 5 pound wraps for the night off the bouncer on the door and then make our way over to Marthas and then Ritzys/Central Park.And if we felt like getting stoned and not pulling we'd head for Doras. | | | |

I remember it going berserk in the Queens when the vermin were marched past with a huge police escort. The b@stards made sure we were locked in about five minutes before.
I think that may have been the year they got a proper tuning outside the Queens after the match. Poetic justice. |  | | |

I had a clout of a bloke in his 50's in the Queens in about 91/92 after going in there before Martha's on a Friday night, he was going berserk with the mini angel boys because they were all raving it up instead of concentrating on going the football. Never saw him before or after that, the lousy c*nt

Aye half the boys chose raving and the others stuck with the football.It did cause a few problems back then but that game in Reading in 92 consolidated us all again. There was a huge outdoor rave the night before in Warminster and all the ravers made their way to Elm Park the following morning.The rest is history as they say.  | | | |

Potters latterly was also a good meeting point. Remember being in the Seabeach when Hull brought a mob down and attacked the Gari, the Seabeach emptied with gallons of beer left on the tables, overtook Lyn Phillips the police liaison officer on the charge up to the Gari ! until i was squashed into The Singleton wall by a police horse's arse.  |  | | |

I used to go to the Pantygwydr with my butties, it was cheap and close to the action of the away fans going to their end, yet I don't remember away fans in there [not advisable when full of valley boys full of ale I don't suppose], the pub went from quiet on matchday's say first season back in the 2nd Div to being very busy on matchday's when the Swans were in the 1st Division.
