The official line is that it's being released on 26th December (which in itself seems like a wasted opportunity not to release before Christmas). But then despite the official line it seems that you may be able to get hold of it earlier depending on where you look, possibly. That doesn't strike me as a very well co-ordinated launch. | | | |

They couldn't release it until 26th December because of legal licensing issues relating to the film having a cinema release.
Films can't be released for something like 90 days after the cinema release... I know Mal and co frantically tried to find loop holes to get around the issue.
Maybe YJB Films should have been clearer why they couldnt release it earlier. | |

Because of some loophole they found something to releasing the 'Gold -Limited Edition' later.
It definitely wasn't in their plan to have the release date after Christmas... just contractual legal issues. | |
