What is the best way to stream live football? I've used wiziwig over the past few years in conjunction with sopcast and acestream with varying degrees of success but I've seen a lot of people mention this XBMC thing or whatever it is and I've never really investigated it. What's the lowdown?

If you're willing to fork out around a tenner a month then I'd recommend any of Streamtvbox, SportsAccessHD or HQzone.
All of which are available via XBMC or your web browser. Usually HD streaming with all three and just about every game shown. |  | | |

Xbmc is an open source media centre software, you install the Base software and add plugins for different types of media like streaming live tv, watching movies etc.
The best I've used so far is the nbc live plugin, but you need an American ip address, I've been testing unotelly for last week and it's worked fine, they offer a free 8 day trial after that it's $4.99 a month.

I'll second XBMC. Using Offsidestreams on there, been subscribed to them for just over a year and paying the old rate of a fiver a month
Get the occasional hiccup, but well worth it. Opens to new subscribers every so often, but has now gone up to a tenner a month.Dumped the tv service from Virginmedia in the meantime |  | | |

Usually I watch all major club football matches at http://sportsmaza.com/
There is a menu name "Upcoming Matches" where found the link before the match started.
Link list or HD players usually available in that pages.
