I agree, what good are they to you after you've gone, and you could just save somebody's life.

Exactly I had to have over 50 pints of blood once to keep me alive and I'm sure you'd all like to thank those people for me being here.

Don't think anyone would want my organs after what I've put them through.

Probably be a lot of demand for my penis though.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

What would happen if someone who opts out then requires a transplant from someone else to stay alive? Will they refuse to accept it ?
Should they even be offered it or should it only be for those that are also willing to donate their organs?
Hmmm, thought provocking isn't it?
They can have whatever is useful from me when I am dead.

That's a pity. There's a lot of basic research going on into the workings of the brain these days. An opportunity lost no doubt.

It's a great idea. Poor lad of 21 was on TV earlier having dialysis, it made me think to how carefree and healthy I was at his age.

Let's just hope you don't need an organ at some time then eh.

We shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush you know!

There shouldn't be an opt out.

Squeamishness and sentimentality over dead flesh that will soon be either ash or worm shit shouldn't be allowed to get in the way of life.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

No,i won't opt out,waste not want not.
I'd probably be happy to accept another persons organs, god forbid the need never arises,so it would seem inappropriate to opt out.

I'm taking my Bontempi to the fecking Crem with me.

No fecker is getting their hands on it until my sister (Grade 12) has played "Bat Out of Hell" and "Yellow Rose of Texas" as I slide down the conveyor belt to the cleansing flames....

Feck 'em

What sort of warped world are we living in when the Gvmt is trying to take your musical instruments to Cash Converters before you've had a good send off...??

I still haven't seen any information for people who aren't allowed to donate and whether they need to opt out or have been automatically.

Ever since my son was... never conceived, because I've never had consensual sex without money involved... I've always kind of looked at you as... a thing, that I could live next to... in accordance with state laws.

That's not the issue. It's about consent

And if you don't want to consent opt out.

I am sure your opinion will change once you have left school and had a bit more experience of life. A friend of the family whilst still alive gave one of his kidneys for his daughter to keep her alive through lack of a suitable organ.

If you are dealing with recently bereaved or soon to be bereaved family it's never going to be an easy topic to broach, this gives staff the option to approach the family (who can still refuse) as everybody in Wales now knows the score.

I have given blood and will gladly give my organs to whoever wants them. I don't care if it's for research or a person needing them. Once your dead your are gone, make some use of yourself one last time.

Life is an adventure or nothing at all.

Whoever opts out of this programme - is nothing more than selfish.

It is arrogant to assume you will need your organs after death.

After life - give life. One death could result in several lives being saved. This opt-out programme took a long time coming!

I'm glad the onus is now on opting out rather than donating voluntarily as I'm sure many lives could have been saved in the past just bypassing people laziness to fill out forms to donate.

Take what they want of me before the flesh rots to nothing is what I say.
