It's only a groin strain, it shouldn't really affect the way he plays. As long as he can swing his elbows he should be fit to play to his usual standard.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

That would be splendid news. What with Payet and Sakho ferked too and Collins playing.

Then I remember that Bournemoth had a reserve team out just about....

Still new era. Optimistic hat and fun Christmas jumper firmly on.

He was in the press the other day saying he's looking forward to the battle with Ash. Unless he has done it in training after.

Last time people in the Pet stand called him a gyppo, he promptly scored a worldy.

Carroll out injured would be truly excellent news.

If Carol is out, that would be great news......because at the moment we don't look as if we could defend corners, even if we were playing Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, let alone having to worry about that c*nt Carol lurking in the box.

Defending corners, our central defenders usually do a good impression of Dopey and Sleepy.

You're not wrong. We've conceded more goals from set pieces than anyone else in the PL and scored the joint least (1).

Given Monk's playing experience, that's disappointing. You'd think one thing we'd have right is how to defend from set pieces. Leicester's first goal was especially comical.

You watch him now, it's all mind games you know, we will set our tactics to not include Carroll and then he will be announced playing.

Bony's goal against us was another case of comical defending.....although some might prefer to describe it as criminal defending.

On today's paper saying that he's got a groin strain....not as serious as first thought, but expected to miss the Swansea City game.
