If Scott Sinclair returns 09:59 - Jan 19 with 7572 viewsPacemaker

What will the fans do who have been booing him every time he plays against us?

I would never clap an opponent before or during a game, but I don't get the hatred for Sinclair who did nothing but good for us and was a major factor in us getting promoted.

Life is an adventure or nothing at all.

More money spunked. £2M plus wages.

Couldn't get into our team when he left. Not a regular for Villa.

What's the point?

Came on and scored against QPR in the game before he left. Will definitely shoot on sight which seems to be an issue for most of our forwards.

They'll do the same as they did to Gylfi after they'd booed the shit of him when he played for Spurs against us.

That'll be Oldjacks gang im asbo corner.

Another footballer which had his career/development stagnated because of Man city. I don't blame him for trying his luck, but it was never going to end well going up there was it tbh.

He'll be good back up. Bring him on at the 60th minute to change the game. Nothing more.

Scored a few goals for villa this season. I'd start him ahead of Routledge, probably Montero too in his current form.

Upthecity!

i doubt this one will come off unless Vila have packed their bags for the Championship and surely 'where there is hope'...etc. also I have never heard him being booed but have not been to an away match when he has played. He was a great player for us and he still shows glimpses of that talent when I have seen him. I suspect he will be welcomed back with open arms.

He was dropped for the first game under Laudrup as we knew he was going. Still scored a good goal from the bench though.

Other than that, he made 82 appearances in the 2 years he was here.

What's your point?

How many times has he played against us? cant be many.

Personally, I don't bother with it, but I think it's pretty much accepted that players get booed against their old clubs. Doesn't happen to all of them, but I doubt it offends any of them.

He's not standing out in what is one the poorest premier league sides in history. Getting outshone by Jordan Ayew, who would be an infinitely better signing. Sinclair improves nothing that we already have. He gets booed justifiably too because he and his dopey Mrs basically slagged off the area.

And those who give lampard a standing ovation whilst warming up at the bridge.incredible.

I was at the hawthorns when SS came on against us. Disgusting reaction from our lot. Very poor.

I was at the same game, I just didn't get it.

We earned a good fee for him he caused no problems when he was here, some thought he was BR favourite and undroppable but overall did everything asked of him.

I have heard the booing a few times at away games, even when warming up.

Not sure if he ever came on down here against us.

Way too much money. He's dome nothing for his value to have doubled from the first time he signed for us and he has never done it above Championship level. 500 grand max.

Been poor for Villa in a very poor Villa side,Jordan Ayew would be a far better signing.

Would probably have thrived under Laudrup. Capable of scoring goals in a tidy side. For £2m we could do a lot worse, and that's coming from someone who thought Routledge got a raw deal in our first season.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We had a better team when he left than we do now. Would at least suit the way we used to play, if we have aspirations of getting back to it. Unlikely to change our season on his own, but for £2m + wages, I don't think he would be a bad buy.

I really like Scotty, and am very grateful for his time with us. I don't think he's good enough for our team now though, not even as sub.

Be a spot on acquisition [for planning] for life in the Championship though.

I'd welcome him back. He started coming good under Laudrup. He's still relatively young compared to Routledge.

£2m for him is decent value if he fancies it.

A goalscoring wide player? Yeah we could do with a few of those. It's a Yes from me.

Oh and I wouldn't worry about hypocrisy. Nobody cares, fans or players alike.

6 goals in 20 appearances this season, albeit 3 against Notts County (although we hardly covered ourselves in glory against the lower league opposition)

3 in 12 for Villa last season

Personally I don't think he's to be sniffed at at £2m

Barrow could barely get in to the Forest team in the league below...may as well offload him too then.
