Iron Maidens 747 will be landing in Cardiff airport on Wednesday for a couple of day stopover at Cardiff Aviation (Bruce Dickinson's aviation company) ahead of the world tour that kicks off later this month in Florida

You can park in the Holiday Inn car park and get a good view of the runway. The hangers are down the other end though |  |

Don't think you can now. You could go upstairs to the cafe and watch from there I guess but it wouldn't be a great view. Used to enjoy going up to the top of the terminal as a kid and watch the planes take off. |  | | |

Ye they said it will be their only UK appearance but didn't elaborate on that. They've done that previously at Download though only to announce on stage a British arena tour for later in the year. I think it's maybe a contractual thing with the festival organisers | | | |
