I'm sure there's a general 'what are you listening to?' thread but couldn't find it for toffee.

Anyway I thought I'd try a couple of songs from the 21st century that you old fogies might like

Who is this CJ. Quite interesting, according to Mrs Mute.
Ah, just found them on YouTube (not as quick as you youngsters with new fangled technology 😉). A little like Pink Floyd in places. Will listen to more of this, thanks for the heads up.
Just a reminder that the Swansea International Jazz Festival will be happening from 17-19 June and tickets are now available. Check out www.sijf.co.uk for programme of events.

Melinda and I are going to see Duran Duran (with Chic/Nile Rodgers opening) tonight (Tuesday). Always liked DD in their 1980's prime but never saw them live and haven't really even thought about them for about 25 years. But really psyched to finally see what they are like in person.

To refresh myself I've been playing Rio on a continuous loop the last couple of days. Always thought this was an underrated song of theirs, featuring a rather underrated bass player in John Taylor.

Broken Bells are a group I'd never heard of but discovered by accident after hearing a jingle on numerous TV shows and then finally lyrics in a TK MAxx in Bath!!!
Googled the lyrics et voila!!

No worries. I've only just discovered PT myself, although they've been around since the late eighties. Very Floyd but a touch heavier. Steven Wilson their front man & songwriter has also released some very good solo stuff too. If you're into Prog Rock then I'd really recommend you look deeper into their back catalogue.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but this is very good for those interested (as is the Album, "In Absentia")....

Liked both the Op's tracks, pleasant enough if a bit derivative.

And I have a serious case of Amplifier envy after watching the 1st clip.

And can someone please fix this poxy site so that we can quote against an opening post.....
