Rough Edges - Heol y Gors 09:30 - Aug 27 with 3095 views

Been doing some volunteer work here and thought I'd give it a little advertising because not many people seem to know about it

Rough Edges is a charity shop for men. Located on Heol y Gors (former window tint and paintless dent removal garage) it sells items typically found in a mans shed - tools, camping gear, fishing gear, golf equipment, gym equipment, lawn mowers... that type of stuff. Plenty of bargains to be had and well worth a visit before calling into B&Q / Homebase and paying three times the price for something you'll only use once or twice anyway!

All proceeds go to helping the homeless in Swansea via Zac's Place, and any donations are very greatly appreciated - the entire shop is run off donated equipment, so if you're clearing your shed out this summer, please bear us in mind before throwing anything out

That's right. Rough Edges is up towards the Gors Avenue end

It's not open today by the way, to save any wasted journeys, but is usually open on Saturdays

Weds 10am - 4pm
Thurs 10am - 4pm
Fri 10am - 4pm
Sat 9.00am - 12.30pm

Volunteers also welcomed - it would be open more often with more volunteers. Ideal if you're retired and looking for something to fill your time with

Gonna give this a bump. We've reclaimed a load of timber from the Student Village which is currently being demolished in stages, and it has been selling really well. Far cheaper than anything you'd get at a timber merchants, and painstakingly de-nailed by yours truly at great pain and expense. Check out pictures on Facebook

Great stuff, do they collect items worthy of selling ?cookers furniture etc ? Any car parts floating about up there blaze?

Great place - I'm a bit of a regular - got some brand new leather workboots for a fiver last week - great place for good quality hand tools - old but made to last...well worth a browse
