This just an observation from me after watching the video of them trying to mount the horse then beat it mercifully with a crop.

They don't really seem to know what they're doing in terms of keeping horses.

That she may well be. Would others have actually acted like that in the first place?

I'm assuming the older lady is the Mother? She looks like she needs to visit a dentist or swap her teeth with the poor horse.
