Just seen it again on MOTD, was too wrapped up in the drama at the game to appreciate what a composed finish it was. Brilliant

Yeah great assist from Fede, now all he has to do is concentrate what he gets paid to do...........defend!

Thats the one positive thing I took from the match, he's starting to look sharp and hopefully he will take confidence out of that.

Mentioning Fernandez assist is laughable, he needs to concentrate on his actual job.

If players get criticism for stuff they do wrong they deserve praise for what they do right. As with Fede for that last goal.

But Fede and Jordi are just not good enough CH's for the PL. If I was Bob and they said spend £30 million in January i'd buy two centre backs of REAL quality.

I really, really, really, hope this is a turning point for him, the team and Bob.

Llorente looked really committed and up for it.

Bob spoke well and the team dug in and bust a gut to win.

Hopefully that's him up and running and a sign of what an experienced classy player has to offer in a crazy game like that - hopefully some leadership to come in tighter affairs. He needs to be in at Barrow etc to show them where he wants it played and how they can combine in game situations.

It's been a long time since we've had somebody who possesses that instinctive ability to position themselves in the sort of areas where they can get on the end of the occasional five yard tap in.

Good to see how much them goals meant for him, if that can give him the boost he's been looking for to get him back to the form of a few years back, then he could well keep us up, at 31 it's possible, especially for a striker who has never relied on pace.

I think he has found the physicality of Premier League defenders difficult to cope with so far, just pray he's finding his feet.

His header for Fer's goal was very good too. I wonder if Fer hadn't put it away would Cabaye have been pulled up for a blatant handball on the line?

I doubt it.

I'd like to know the answer to that. Only Kevin Friend knows the answer.

Should've been a red card regardless of fees goal or not. Deliberate hand ball on the line

Isn't the sending off for preventing a goal being scored, which ultimately it didnt.

If you are right, he wasn't going to give it at all because he wasn't approached / carded before CP kicked off.

I thought it was the new double jeopardy rule? Yellow card and penalty.

Deliberately handling on the line is still a red even under the new rules.

Well, we've had two matches with Kevin Friend as referee where we've scored five goals (the other being against Bradford City). And Pardew was moaning that Gylffi's goal should have been disallowed by him because our defenders pushed their defenders out of the way.

Bullsh!t. That free kick should've been bread and butter for Palace defence, it was FF's awareness and determination that made the goal.

Llorente was a like a bull up and down the sidelines before coming on.

Fernandez definitely meant to put it back into the mixer, which he did. So it was definitely intentional. That's why I'm inclined to allow him some slack because yes he might have cocked up for palace goals (no more than others I feel) but he actually did something to rectify it for a change.

Cabaye robbed him of what would of been his 1st hat trick for the Swans, and probably one of the quickest hat tricks scored, he came on in the 66th minute and scored his second and what should of been his third in the 93rd minute, not to shabby hey.
