Just made my annual donation to Wiki. Only £5, but every little bit helps. When I think about how many times I am helped by their service over the period its ridiculously cheap.

People still fund it? SMH.

It's all just people meta-gaming. Owning articles. Clear errors not getting corrected because some geek yells "that's just a tertiary source".

Hardly. If people want to fund Jimbo Wales' extravagances, then they should open their eyes.

Define benefit.

Do I look at some wiki stuff? Sure. Look to see what references are used in articles, take things from there.

It's good for pop culture stuff. Science, health not so much.

I find it pretty good for science. Our lecturers always said it was pretty reliable and a good source to use.

There have been plenty of scientists who have been blocked from wiki - spotted errors, wanted to correct them only for some spotty geek to revert valid edits because they'd not used "reliable sources".

It's useful as a starting point but I'd personally if back at Uni want to see real evidence rather than relying upon it.

It's handy to follow the reference trail back to the original paper mind.

Ever since my son was... never conceived, because I've never had consensual sex without money involved... I've always kind of looked at you as... a thing, that I could live next to... in accordance with state laws.

Avoid secondary referencing (Bannosswan, in PlanetSwans 2016)
