If Jenkins is still throwing names into the transfer hat and clement is playing along with it then our new manager goes down in my estimation.
Already there are 2/3 names out there like carroll and the dutch winger that IMO have nothing to do with clement. It's fair enough if he has looked them over and agreed they will improve us, but really, why would he won't others having input to deals that will ultimately decide his future and reputation ?
I don't believe for one minute Paul clement walked away from that 2nd job interview planning for his life as swans manager thinking the one player he desperately needs is Tom Carroll from Spurs,the poor mans Joe Allen.

On what basis can you say that? In our current predicament we'd be hard pushed to bring in a central defender better than FF! If Clement has anything about him as a coach/manager shouldn't he be looking at how he can get the best out of him? Now is the time under a new manager for Fernandez to made team captain and be made to take some responsibility for the position we are in as an experienced professional footballer. Better that for me, than sell and replace with him some promising loanee, or some 32 yr old great who needs some game time as he's been injured for the last 12 months! |  |
