That's a bit unfair on Carroll. He will keep the ball for us a lot more than our current midfielders. I don't think he's worth the 8m figure I have seen but he is worth 6m. | | | |

We have injuries on our left flank and we don't have an abundance of quality there anyway. I'd start Olsson. Probably use Narsingh as an impact sub. Wasn't convinced by Carroll last time, a few excellent games and a lot of anonymous ones. He does improve our midfield options but he's not a game changer for me. | | | |

I think it's a bit risky to bring a new defender straight into the team when he probably won't even have a chance to meet them first.
It's less of a risk to put a new attacking player on the bench and give him 20 minutes at the end. |  | | |
