This story is going to be deeply problematic for a number of Breitbart devotees here.
Some of these believe that reading sites like Breitbart gives them special insights and inside knowledge as to how the world really works, for example the various nefarious undertakings of the EU.
They are the enlightened ones, and as such look down on the sheep who have not similarly been imbued with their special understanding of the affairs of men.
Alas it is they themselves who are the sheep, under the direction of Russian intelligence services and others like Alex Jones who are at the very best clinically insane.

That plus of course the irony of America whining about another nation interfering in it's election process.
Indeed. That's what makes the whole accusations laughable, bordering on the bizarre.
While the days of its worst behavior are long behind it, the United States does have a well-documented history of interfering and sometimes interrupting the workings of democracies elsewhere. It has occupied and intervened militarily in a whole swath of countries in the Caribbean and Latin America and fomented coups against democratically elected populists.
The most infamous episodes include the ousting of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh in 1953 – whose government was replaced by an authoritarian monarchy favorable to Washington – the removal and assassination of Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba in 1961, and the violent toppling of socialist Chilean President Salvador Allende, whose government was swept aside in 1973 by a military coup led by the ruthless Gen. Augusto Pinochet.

Oh the delicious irony.
Excellent post, you make some great points.
If anything bad happens to Trump now the Trump supporters will argue it's the "deep state" conspiring against him, in favour of Clinton (even though there is no possible way she could be president now anyway). If The Donald is removed, Pence becomes president and Paul Ryan becomes VP, and behind that there will be further republicans.

I love the Deep State conspiracy theory, because it is so revealing of the nature of Trump's simpleton psychology.
He believe there are Obama political plants in various government departments because embedding party commissars is precisely what he is doing!
You can talk to these guys mind.. people get paranoid about it.. I can't go outside the door without the w*nkers bothering me.. I'm afraid to take a sh*t.. they've all got control issues..
Weak sperm I put it down towards.. useless the lot of them.. I'm like a nazified robot.. just because I can answer complex arguments on a whim..
I don't know whether they want to sh*g me.. or kill me.. the semantically deranged nut jobs..
They're in for a grilling today anyway off the Fuhrer.
The awkward moment when a Welsh Club become the Champions of England.. shh
The Swansea Way.. To upset the odds.

The bigger the plot, the bigger the hat...
Wow.
You stoop to a new subterranean level of intellectual dishonesty insinuating there is an equivalence between sources like the Wall Street Journal, The Telegraph, and the Director of the FBI, and Breitbart.com.

Pitiful.
You must have been sat there laughing typing that out, Shaky.I'd enjoy watching you try to paint any of the sources you cite as somehow morally impeccant.
I'm still chuckling at your recent dalliance with the New York arm of the Zimmerwald Left.
An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

There was a story recently about a guy he had placed somewhere who was a bodybuilder touting a line of energy supplements or something.
If these people weren't so laughably incompetent the whole thing would be deeply sinister.

The Deep State exists and has done for years, although not in the way Trump supporters think. I recommend "The American Deep State: Wall Street, Big Oil, and the Attack on U.S Democracy" and "The Road to 9/11: Wealth, Empire, and the Future of America" by Peter Dale Scott. Dismissing the Deep State as a simple conspiracy theory is short-sighted I think. And I'm no Trump supporter.

Interesting to see if the Donald starts a war with Republican dissenters.
If you can fill the unforgiving minute.
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Republican congress and a republican president don't have enough votes from the Republican Party to repeal the hated socialist healthcare nonsense from that Muslim communist Obama.
