My (now) wife is from C***iff and was winding me up talking about wearing a blue dress on the big day. I was calm about it and secretly booked Cyril for the evening reception. It was down the Gower, and petrol expenses would be added, however when he knew the reason behind my wanting Cyril there, he loved it and petrol expenses were forgotten about. (He did get an extra £20 on the night though).
Everyone loved it, especially the kids, although the Mrs wasn't best pleased on the night. She still comments from time to time how Cyril the Swan made an appearance at our wedding reception. I think she secretly loved it. |  | | |

You're right about the bull - it wasn't even his idea.
I know for a fact whose idea it was to introduce a mascot, half time entertainment and a regular local announcer (Kevin Johns was specifically named) and many other ideas which have since been introduced. |  |

I was in the toilets in a social club on the way to the West Ham away FA Cup game years ago (the 1-1 draw before Martin Thomas' winner back at the Vetch) and the bloke p!ssing next to me was staggering backwards and forwards slightly, obviously pretty drunk.
"You don't fancy being Cyril today do you mate?" he asked. I thought he was joking but apparently he'd been around a few people in the place asking them if they fancied the job for the day.
