Mumbles Mile then onto Cinders in the late Eighties...banging!! invariably the bouncers had to be deployed and use their certain set of skills.

A nightclub at every corner, happy, happy days.
Shades, Harpers, Valbonne and Studio 25 for me, sometimes every night of the week.
Oh to have a time machine just go back for one last night.
The youngsters of today have missed out on so much, times change, Swansea has changed, we have all changed, as I said happy, happy days, never to return, but never forgotten.

You can't post anything without sticking the knife in Swansea, have you considered going over to the Cardiff City forum? You'd fit in well there.

What do you mean 'not my City' I was born in Swansea, lived in 4 locations within the City boundaries, 3 of which were in the City Centre, worked the majority of my adult life in the City.. I would suggest what happens in Swansea has got feck all to do with you.

Then I withdraw that as I was informed you were gorseinon

What happens to my family down there IS of concern to me

My nephews and nieces are leaving Or have left too in order to improve their lives

Not overly relevant, but isn't Gorseinon part of Swansea? I thought the Loughor bridge was the unofficial border
0
Swansea Nostalgia on 16:59 - Apr 21 with 2625 viewsperchrockjack

Loughor bridge was both geographically, culturally and linguistically .

Boundaries changes cannot mindset change

Llanelli Swansea very different

Pity they built that bridge

Wel well. I've been truly educated. In the 80's Swansea was a thriving Metropolis but now it's a shithole!

I could go on all night, but i seriously would love someone to tell me what was better about Swansea in the 1980's compared to what it is now?

Dylans then Cinders Friday, Neptunes Saturday. Good times

It was the bit about being out every night some weeks that did it. Monday a quiet Valbonne but a good night as everyone knew each other. Tuesday used to be a great night there, Wednesday shades and Ladies night in Harpers, Thursday worst day of the week, but i always tried to make an effort, Friday and Saturday sometimes visit both, but Saturday afternoons in the City Tavern were good as well! Though i must admit i did lean towards Marthas when it opened.
