It's obviously all relative. That's why it was stupid of McDonnell and Labour to be talked into giving a figure for what 'rich' is. To some poor homeless dab the minimum wage would feel like winning the lottery.

Bigger issue here is the growing inequality gap, which is growing under the Tories. Although executive pay peaked under Labour I think, so it's not quite as simple as Tories always promoting the rich.

Well of course it's all relative, that's the way it works, but please don't moan if you earn on average £267,000 per year.
All of us would love to earn a little bit more, but that's the way it is, does this come down to greed, envy or averice, I don't know, but really if you earn that much spare a thought for those a lot further down the food chain, don't look up and say, yeah I should be earning millions,it doesn't work for me at any level.

You wonder whether it is due to such low interest rates for so long and the policy of Quantitative Easing which have both forced up asset prices (Property and Stock Markets) to silly levels.

I am quite fearful of next crash in asset prices given the enormous levels of debt that both the Government and Private individuals are holding.

The last downturn was 2008 and so we are due another one if you believe historic business cycle trends.

The inequality gap will certainly close if the asset prices of the rich collapse.

A number of these people seem to have benefited society through the products and services they have developed.

Some of them appeared to have also given away a lot to charity.

You probably don't want to ever stifle entrepreneurship and innovation.

........then again multinationals should pay their fair share of tax. Apple's cash balances offshore currently standing at $250bn

They benefit from stable societies where they can sell their products and services.

Relative poverty is a tool used by left wingers to keep them relevant.

Poorest 10% of people in this Country are in the top 1% in the World's wealth.

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter
