***Leanne Wood*** Cheering thread [dance] 18:45 - May 11 with 6718 viewstrampie

This site needs a cheering thread for Leanne Wood supporters, I will start off with a song :-

We love you Leanne - we do,
We love you Leanne - we do,
Oh Leanne we love you.

She's tried to go outside labour on the left. Corbyn came in and has covered that ground and he doesn't look like he's going anywhere. No gains, time to go, imo.

Upthecity!

Indeed. The SNP have shown what can be achieved and Wood has failed miserably to create a similar uprising here.
Salmond and Sturgeon have shown her how it should be done even though there's something fishy about the pair of them.

Thumbs up for the pun.

I'm wondering if SNP have peaked. They had a perfect storm with whipping up nationalism, Labour collapsing. Since then... biggest party in Holyrood but still under 50% of MSPs. Child poverty has apparently risen to what 26% or so - can't blame Tories for everything with devolution. The whole Neverendum business. Sturgeon going public with private conversations.

I'd not be surprised if they lose a few seats this election.

I wonder if the lovely Leanne has finally stopped canvassing ? , her last tweet was 2hrs ago in support of Plaids Neath candidate, pic taken the other day by the look of it in what looks like the old ambulance hall in Glynneath.
All the best for tonight to Plaids candidates, at least some people put Wales interests first.

Leanne (Natalie) Wood is an embarrassment to our country, I hope she doesn't gain a single vote. This women isn't fit to be in the kitchen let alone in any form of government

Lots of the so called experts did not think that Plaid would make gains but Leanne proved them wrong and Plaid increased their seats.

You called it Trampie.

All other parties squeezed in the big 2 party fight, so to actually increase the Plaid MPs is a good result.
Contrast with SNP dip.

Leanne will be on the sherry.

I was wondering how long it would take Plaid supporters to claim that Leanne Wood has done a decent job

Labour got 50% of the votes in Wales, increased the vote share significantly. Plaid are absolutely useless, fair play.

Yes as a Plaid voter I would have taken 4 seats when the election was announced, with one day to go before voting I would have bitten your hand off for 4 seats.

It just goes to show the pathetic expectations of Plaid voters.

4 seats in the whole country compare that to Scotlands 35 SNP MPs
which is being called a disaster and we see PCs pathetic showing.

But if they are "over the moon" with 4 seats and keeps
them happy good for them , but it does show how little ambition they have
and the reason why they are irrelevant.

Yes indeed, Tramp. She's more Primark than King Pellam, more Colonel Sanders than Saunders.

Rule of thumb for you, Tramp: Never trust a politician claiming to represent Wales who doesn't know at least eleven of Christ's parables or a minimum of seven stanzas from The Anathemata by heart. They are outside of the elect and unfit to wear the laurels.

In the same way there are a handful people in the Rhondda riddled with chlamydia. I wouldn't then extrapolate and say the whole region is under the Pox Dr. as you are wont to do.

You are learning something all the time Lohengrin, Churchill is a dirty word to some in the valleys, the red flag was raised for the first time in that part of the world and Communism is strong in the area until the last few decades anyway.

The lesson is don't read right wing Brit Nat propoganda.

Here's a lesson for you, do a spell-check before you post, 'ya daft ha'porth.

If I drove up to Seven Sisters right now and asked some random kids who Churchill was, what are the odds they'd think I was talking about the dog in the insurance adverts or that a red flag was something folk say not to wave at bulls?

By the way, how did you fare on the Parables and Stanzas test, resident spokesman for New Plaid that you are?

I don't tend to read much comedy writing other than Spike Milligan's war books but I could make an exception.

Influences, people met, platforms shared, activism, protests, brushes with authorities, experiences in Plaid, being voted leader by the membership, campaigning and leaders debates, she keeps her personal life private so I doubt there would be a book but if there was it would be interesting no doubt.
Variety of jobs she has done, joining and reaching the top of Plaid and initially not speaking Welsh, her strong socialism, her actions as regards wages and charity, why she lives where she lives, there have been personal ups and downs just like most people endure.
Lots of material for a good read.
