So after blatantly lying on television a few days ago about how he had never met with convicted IRA terrorists, he now has U-turned on that lie and admitted he has done.

It kinda does, Lisa.
Fallon was poor. Clarke interprets that as mauled. Clarke uses the more emotive language as it suits his purpose.
My point about Abbott is I bet he doesn't mention it - and that's a problem for Labour. When Eoin, Labour's social media attack dog savages a Tory but can't mention the shadow home secretaries interview as being a positive for Labour... they are in trouble.
I imagine the Daily Mail also talks about how awful Diane was without mentioning Fallon either.
They're all as bad as each other.

Why did he lie? What does he have to hide?
Two things:
It's JC & he's a member of the labour party.
AKA he has a free pass

If labour had produced this policy no one would have an issue, it's a very interesting idea the problem is in the 24/7 media outrage times we're in nothing truly tough & radical can ever get done because it's not 'popular'

The issue in this GE is not the policy itself. Which has pros and cons.
No, the massive issue is that having said their was no cap, as confirmed by the health secretary, following some mixed feedback Theresa May did a u turn and said there will be a cap, everyone knew it was a u turn, but she was adamant it wasn't a u turn.
Complete basket case of policy making and lack of firm leadership.
When you describe yourself as an SS leader, you can't then buckle and change policy because of some criticism.

Of course.
First NI contributions. Then the dementia u turn that wasn't a u turn.
Now Fallon denying the words of Boris Johnson regarding our foreign interventions aren't what we actually heard/read.
It's disgusting the British public are being treated like children, too stupid to understand what's in front of their eyes. All Fallon had to do was say I agree/disagree with what Boris said. Instead he pretends he didn't actually say what he said and hope we all fall for it.
Add to that their hiding away of May so she doesn't get questioned too much.
The Tories will win but never has a party less deserved to win a general election in my adult life.

I know you aren't a "social media attack-dog" yourself, but it I said kinda funny that you of all posters are complaining that some Labour supporter is not giving the Tories AND Labour an equally hard time....
