Official Lions tour page 09:28 - May 31 with 21783 views | shandyjack | can't bloody wait for this to start, for some reason i fancy a tight 2-1 defeat for the Lions but expect some very tight matches. What do people see being the starting line up (baring the obvious injuries) going into the first test

Official Lions tour page on 09:55 - May 31 with 4026 views | shandyjack | barring injuries then i would go with the following for the first test Vunipola Owens Furlong AWJ Itoje Warbuton Falateau Stander Murray Sexton Farrell Davies Williams Watson Hogg

Official Lions tour page on 09:57 - May 31 with 4019 views | Yossarian | They will raise expectations with some heroic and unexpected performances but it will end in tears and glorious failure. It's just in us.

Official Lions tour page on 10:24 - May 31 with 4009 views | sherpajacob | on most lions tours some apparent test certainties struggle and some nailed on dirt trackers rise to the challenge and excel. Any weaknesses in a players game will be exposed in NZ, whilst players who embrace the challenge will shine. I think players who could exceed expectations include Ken owens and Tips, I think foxy may regain form to claim a test place. If Hoggs defensive ablity is exposed Sanjay may end up full back. I wouldn't be surprised if Farrell ends up the test standoff, although the first test will be sexton/Farrell 10/12. Falateu will be the standout forward of the tour along with Itoje. It will be tough for the Lions to nick even one test, but i'll go for 2-1 to NZ with lots of issues over southern hemisphere law interpretations.

Very tough tour, starting with a game 3 days after flying half way around the world, even though the opposition are quite weak. Then playing the 5 super rugby teams, who will be strong despite probably not including current All Blacks. Maori team also won't lie down. Feel they must win the 1st test, to stand any chance.

Looking at the tour schedule and knowing how the dinosaur Gatland treats his players, and his tactics, I'd be surprised if half the original squad is still available for the first test. Because of that, 3-0, and easy for NZ. 40 points plus in the last two.

Hard to disagree with that. That said, Gatland will make a better fist of it than Sir Clive I reckon.

I read that All Black squad members will be released to play for their provincial teams ahead of the 3 test matches.

Sanjay is one of my nailed on starters. North needs to find form to get the other wing.

If you didnt understand already what that team means to the Kiwis then it is well worth a watch. It just really hits home even more how difficult this tour is going to be!

Sport is tribal, are you quarter Irish, quarter Scottish, quarter English and quarter Welsh ? The British and Irish Lions is a strange concept to some.
