Would Labour fans support a 'progressive alliance' ? 15:03 - Jun 9 with 648 views | trampie | If there is to be an Autumn General Election would Labour party/Labour fans support a 'progressive alliance' with the SNP, Plaid, Lib-Dems and Greens before the election ? where they don't stand against each other just putting the strongest party up again the Conservatives in any particular seat. If Labour go it alone again would they overturn the near 60 seat lead the Conservatives have ?, if they don't form an alliance and they are the largest party but don't have a majority will the other parties be reluctant to prop them up ? If there is to be another election the Cons won't have May as leader, they would hand pick a leader to specifically fight a General Election. I think if there is to be another election this year Labour should form an alliance with others to fight it.

Talk was they would rather the Cons win Ynys Mon than Plaid and also the Cons win in Con/SNP seats. They don't call Labour red Tories for nowt.

The problem is that Labour faced a weak Prime Minister and still lost for the 3rd time in a row. The small parties have been squeezed, the turn out won't get much higher, so they need Con voters to switch to them without alienating the Corbynistas which is a big ask. [Post edited 10 Jun 2017 1:16]

Correct. Then the campaign started and the public who were responsible for the results of those polls saw how utterly, utterly useless she is. Somehow in spite of that she only lost a dozen seats overall.
