Absolutely terrible. There are people still alive and trapped in their flats. How this can happen in this day and age with all the H and S legislation I do not know. The cladding seems to have gone up very easily plus it seems the fire hoses cannot get high enough up the building. God help the poor people trapped and the brave emergency services trying to rescue them. You feel so helpless just watching it. A very sad harrowing day :-(

Apparently they've just spent £10m doing the place up, including the cladding.
Lots of questions to be answered in this one you feel.

I can imagine. Given the early morning timing and people being in bed and the speed it spread, I'm afraid there isn't much hope for most of them in there. Terrible.

One of my mates in the LFB is on his way there later today. I don't envy his task.
Too early to speculate but one survivor said work had been done on gas pipes, plus another survivor mentioned an odd smell. It's bloody horrible to see the blackness of that tower.

Its an absolute nightmare, one woman has just said told that when the fire was relatively small - residents were told to remain in their flats/apartments and then it just spread rapidly.
The is a school next to it covered in the same plastic cladding.

No training can prepare you for that devastation, both physically or mentally. A noble profession, one I will be honest I don't think I could do.
Horrible scenes, you can only hope the casualties are minimal, also the damage to both memories due to property damaged, and mental scars from the event will always linger for those too. So many families devastated by this.
