The great fall of Wilfried Bony 16:09 - Jul 2 with 2356 viewsTummer_from_Texas

Hard to believe it's only been 2 1/2 years since it felt like Man City was "stealing" him for £28m.

Poll: Biggest signing so far in January? (just curious what Planet Swans thinks)

It must be awful having to play football for £100k a week with a broken finger.

My heart is bleeding here.

Always thought he was overrated, a good player nothing more.

I said to ridicule at the time Lukaku is a much better player.

Peace

Well he was never going to be good enough for Manchester City.

That wasn't the feeling at the time, I never thought he was that level. That's why I compared him with Lukaku as Everton were more of his level for me, but Lukaku obviously had that extra gear to possibly move into the top 5.

Grass is always greener though isn't it? But I bare no grudges, he did every well for us and if I were him I'd take the big pay packet.

Peace

The feeling at the time was he should be sold for as high a fee as possible. I was glad he went
personally as at the time we as a club we're pretty decent at replacing the odd player.

A great fall of Wilfred bony would create a 50ft tidal wave in the Far East.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

There's a picture of JJS on that Walesonline page. We welcome the Barcodes early in the new season.
Not much chance of anyone singing his name, I think.

Is he f*ck.

Sadly it looks as though the years may have caught up with him.

His value went up when he scored a couple in Brasil World Cup, do well in world cups you get a move more often than not.

Best striker I've ever seen play for the Swans. Obviously he's evil now because he left.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He played so well for us because he suited our style of play at the time. Man City was never going to play through him and use his strength to hold the ball up.

I'd have him back in an instant.

His wages, age, and most significantly his apparent fitness are all at levels now that make him less attractive than the guy we had 3 seasons ago.

Hindsight being 20/20, as great as he was, I think we sold him just in time.
