I'd have been admiring the choice far more if he'd named his child after one of the ancient British saints.... Elvis! 
I was just thinking too, in your Great Grandfather's day the boys in the bar would have been most likely called Percy, Oswald, Reginald or Wilfred. You'd probably raise a few eyebrows calling them out aloud now. | |

Apparently he went to the pub with my grandfather, uncles etc, while the women all stayed to finish the cooking in peace (with a medicinal glass of sweet sherry, I'd imagine, it being Christmas Day), and half an hour later, my Grandfather ran back to say he'd died.
