Loads of report suggesting it's a done deal at a bargain basement price for such a quality player
If this is the case then someone at the club needs shooting for selling him , especially at that price

If we sell Gylfi and Llorente its a f*cking outrage - Trust have obviously put their input into this?

If it rains today is that the fault of the trust as well?

I think they will say they already have .....
Without Gylfi and possibly Llorente we need serious quality coming in, which hasn't been done again.
This month is a watershed in the clubs premier league history.

I know a lot disagree with me but I genuinely think these 2 are as much the problem as they were some sort of solution to our annus horiblis of last season.

If the figures are correct and we do get somewhere in the region of £50m that could guarantee us several more seasons in the EPL.

We can bring in some real quality from wherever. Young, dynamic players in the mould of the Ajax and Monaco teams, for example, on good wages/contracts.

Yes, I've heard all the boring, old trodden fallacies about them saving our season. Yes and no.... they as much saved it as they ruined it.They were in our 2 most important attacking positions and had zero chemistry, apart from the set pieces, never linked up, beat a man, went around a player, got goal side, played through balls, opened up defences, NOTHING.

They were static and predictable and we played for free kicks.

Please let there be no more of the rubbish of the Siggy/Llorente Great Escape season.

If he wants to go he should put in a transfer request for me. Especially after the 'I expect to stay' stuff. Would be satisfied with 35 million. If he was English he'd be going for an absurd amount of money, unfortunately he's not. Mane went for a similar price last season. I'd also tell Everton to wait until we've found a replacement.

Everything that happens with Swansea City is Huw's fault, the Americans' fault, the Trust's fault or Donald Trump's.
Reality is this is probably the biggest test of our resolve as a club.
Not if we sell - that seems to be a done deal - just how much we get for him.

I agree with what your saying to a certain extent. Both are static, lack pace and are unable to get behind defences.

With those deficiencies however, the still managed to single handedly keep us up. Selling either will make us weaker. It'll make us look weak.

Getting the right players around Llorente and Gylfi should be the priority.

I know where you are coming from and the statement of intent in signing mesa and to a degree Abraham indicates to me that we are changing back to playing football rather than hoping for something from a set piece.

Gylfi was able to contribute more with a more mobile attack and midfield and if he stays I hope that is what happens. Clement made the best of a very limited hand, hopefully he can get us playing better stuff this season.

Every player has his price though. I think Gylfi's is higher than has been quoted but if a move is on the cards then we need to have worked on getting quality in to replace him and strengthen the team. We don't need Jenkins' hanging on for last minute bargains and finding that the shop has sold out.

"Please let there be no more of the rubbish of the Siggy/Llorente Great Escape season."

As soon as you join the real world and realise as 99.9% of our fans know that Gylfi & Llorente were not only pivotal to our survival last season, Gylfi has benn for three seasons in total, but also they are both pivotal to our future success.
To sell them will not only send out the wrong message, it is going to be hard to replace them , resulting IMO in another season of struggle and possibly relegation
So to paraphrase you please let there be no more of the rubbish of the "let's sell Siggy/Llorente and we'll be a better team" nonsense there's a good lad

As the Trust are now consulted in respect of player movements, just don't think that they would agree with the sale of Siggy unless it was for a premium fee and then and only then with assurance from our owners that the full amount of the fee be reinvested in the squad.

No, no, they really didn't

Clement single handedly did that and especially the January signings. Without those and even with Siggy and Llorente we were gone.

He got us defending so much better, great shape without the ball, got tunes out of Mawson and Fede, changed tactics twice which took us on 2 great runs bringing Leon in when it mattered.

He's the man we need to turn to now, and with the £50m we get for the 2 of them.

I read earlier you said you will have great pleasure in coming back to me and saying "I told you so"

Well, you won't. That will be my pleasure and with you, my friend, I will enjoy it.

Get over them FFS, our world doesn't revolve around those 2 slow-mo specialists, it's time to move on and bring some energy and passing back into the team.

We've started with Mesa, let's see who else is on the cards.

Clement saved us ?
He got the best out of the whole team, however had we not scored goals and stopped conceding so many on the pitch from January onwards, we would have been sunk.
With the best will in the world there is only so much a manager can do.
The ones on the field (especially Gylfi and Llorente) were responsible for our survival.
Just ask Hull how having a good manager saved them ..... not
The team on the field ultimately let them down

You honestly think The Trust has any meaningful say in if we sell Siggy, how much we sell hik for and where that cash goes?

The Trust has about as much power in these decisions and you or I, the only difference being they have essentially paid £21m to be ignored in person.

It still amazes me how quickly the majority of our fan base welcomed our new style of playing for free kicks anywhere in the opponents half and lumping it into the box. A few years ago we would laugh at teams like that. We would ridicule them.

Now we have the chance to rid our side of the two players largely responsible for us reverting to this horrid style, and rebuilding our side with around £50,000,000, many are up in arms?

I am all for selling Gylfi and Llorente providing it is early into the Summer, we receive a fair fee and Clement, not Jenkins or Leadbitter, has replacements lined up.

Another season of us putting in performances that made Pulis' Stoke team look like Barcelona is a daunting prospect.

Hated players? Have you read what you have written? Or are you under 16, genuine question?

Because people can see a different picture to you and others, it doesn't equate to hating players ffs.

They are players, they'll move on sooner or later, same as other club favourites have done so in the past. And guess what? Swansea City is still here.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Lots of fans find tika-taka boring, constant sideways and backwards passing, keeping the ball and checking backwards, lots of fans like a up and at them style, lots of men committed forward wingers getting crosses in, midfielders getting in the box to join the forwards, getting the ball into the mixer when the attacking team are getting numbers forward is exciting.

When fans chant 'get into them, get into them', they are not looking for sideways and backwards football.

I preferred our style under Laudrup. It was good passing football with quick and incisive passing with the clinical finishing of Michu.

Everton are turning from being a 'proper' team to Man City or Chelsea 'lite', when the Swans were in the fourth division in the late 1970's, Everton were my First Division team. I still look for their results now, but the way they are hoovering up players is making them to be just another team to loathe. Everton used to be called the 'School of Science' now it is just another plaything that massages the ego of another multi-billionaire who thinks they will win the league by splashing the cash.

Unfortunately we will accept the £30 million that Everton will throw at us and we will be patronizingly treated like a little schoolboy as we are only little old Swansea. Huw with his small town mentality will see this as a great deal for Swansea, but true Swansea fans will see us being again being sort changed yet again by a so-called big club.

I hope if we do sell Siggy,I hope the monies will be invested into quality players and not the £5 million bargain bucket players that Huw thinks that he will sell at triple the value later down the road. For every Alfie Mawson there is also a David N'Gog.
