Apparently available for 8.9m, Sampdoria have enquired and he's still only 25.

Worth a punt?

Where would you play him? He did naff all at Bournemouth last year. I don't think he can tackle properly hence all the injuries - he lunges in far too much, so probably best in an attacking midfield role, possible free-role. There is some talent there just don't know how much. Attitude/fitness, or playing out of his best position (whatever that may be) could be factors, but he just hasn't done anything for a long time now. Why aren't Bournemouth rushing to sign him up?? I'd take him as a cheap signing, cheap wages, to be backup to Gylfi/Gylfi's replacement - not going to happen though. Bournemouth was his chance to prove he's a top player that isn't massivley over hyped by the English press, he did nothing.

Did naff all? In only 27 appearances last season he created more chances than any other Bournemouth player. Fact. Can't tackle? His strong point surely.

0 goals, 2 assists. Great season. Oh and lunging into tackles and therefore injuring yourself is not how you tackle, sure everyone loves the odd lunging tackle when it pulls off but most people worth their salt will tell you that this has been one of his problems all his career. Good tacklers don't need to dive in.

A Premier League Martin Hayes no thanks.
He won't want to come here anyway will be looking for a London club I think.

Had to laugh at that article - "... once Gylfi Sigurdsson joins Everton" !
All agreed then is it?

Wilshere has "decided to stay and fight for a starting place" at Arsenal:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4754154/Jack-Wilshere-ready-fi

The article also says that we were interested in taking Wilshere on loan, but doesn't say anything about a purchase. That makes sense.

I guess Turkey and Italy weren't too appealing to young Wilshere. Or it's smoke and mirrors and Arsenal are just trying to up the price. Doubtful it works, though.

Good luck Jack, just not against us.

He'd walk into our midfield. It is very rare we sign a player who massively improves the starting eleven. Olsson did, I'm struggling to remember the last person before him.

Another thread which highlights which posters are intelligent and those who simply chose to regurgitate what they read in the media or elsewhere.

He'd have walked into our team back in July and he'd probably captain it if he were to sign for us now.
