Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Having a fantastic window for clearing out the dead wood. Still more to be done though.

Desperately need to add quality width. The Sigurdsson situation does not and will not change that at all.

Agree 100%. I feel that anyone coming in should be in the matchday squad at least, not just a general squad player.

No sense signing anyone who won't come in and challenge for a first team place, unless they're obvious u23 candidates.

Yes! Please let this happen. Getting back what we paid for him three years on is great business. Reading buying him for potential....he'll never get better than he is now.

"Yossarian- the very sight of the name made him shudder. There were so many esses in it. It just had to be subversive" (Catch 22)

There is a good player in Barrow and if he sorts himself out then we could rue the day that we sold him, especially at the price quoted. His big problem is himself, seems to not able to push himself on and from reports seems to have a terrible attitude.

The club have done excellent with clearing the deadwood, something we have all wanted done for a while. My view was to clear out 6/7 of the fringe players and bring in 4 or so quality players....Messa being one, now for a Centre Half, Right Back and now an attacking player.

there will never be a good player in Barrow, he's super fast which scares teams but he can't shoot, cross or pass which at PL level is not good enough

Poll: Expectation for the season

Barrow trundling off? on 07:44 - Jul 20 with 6403 viewsJFSwan

Barrows 'rise'

- Bought from Swedish 2nd division
- Won a free kick against Arsenal
- First team ever since, mainly down to...

-Improved crossing/shooting over Montero
-Only person with pace

Now we either drastically need some wingers or clement continues with the diamond we had success with towards the end of the season....or the 4-3-3 he initially had good results from with Ayew/Tammy providing width assuming Gylfi is gone

We need to add creativity to the squad.

"There is a good player in Barrow"

Not a big place and not too far from Middlesbrough.

Do you know his name?

Rubbish.

Absolutely zero brain. Will never cut it at any decent level.

Brilliant bit of business by us.

More deadwood gone I agree.
But all that means is that Capt Beaky is going to have to go and sign more "potential" prospects for the squad.
We've been desperately short of talent, plus had older talent that needs easing onto the bench, for the last few years.
At this rate we'll have a squad of 12 and 6 N'Gog/ Tabafatty type players

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

Really happy to be getting rid of him, when that story about his third wife came up on here the other day I really wanted him gone. He's obviously toxic and at 24 hasn't shown enough to be a premier league player

And to think he was handed a new contract not so long ago. An absurd decision.

His crossing was never better than Montero's.

A Premier League player aged under 30 with no injury problems being sold for only £1.25 million? We're giving him away (which is good).

If we were the buying party we'd be paying £5m+, no doubt

Trouble is that last season showed he was no good in the championship either. We're lucky to get anything over £1m. The main aim here has to be to get him off the books I'd have thought?
