Could anyone tell why we didn't sign him on loan? He is okay with playing in mid table club and would be an upgrade on Fabianski. He is great shot stopper, his distribution is amazing and overall looks a lot better than fabianski, we have good backup goalkeepers in Nordfeldt and Mulder so we wouldn't have to look at the horrendous matches Fabianski play. It's beyond me that we had 4 managers and all of them choose Fabianski, pathetic. Getting Hart would be great for our defence. |  | | |  |

So we get rid of a keeper who has on the whole been a great servant to the club, and bring in a keeper on possibly three times his wages, who will not necessarily do much better (if any) than Fabianski.
I seem to remember Hart had his critics both at City and for England. He's a brilliant keeper but not worth us breaking the bank for.
Last game of the season showed why Fabianski is first choice, with the West Brom goal

Maybe his distribution is better than fabianski's but have you actually seen any torino match? They have concede 66 goals and Hart played 36 of 38 games, Torino don't have the best defence but it's a lot better than our defence and we have lost 70 goals so only four goals difference, he is very error prone and this year he was at fault of around 10 goals and how many fabianski was at fault? 3 or 4 times. He also let in some absolute howlers for them, which is his trademark (see Euro 2016 for further evidence). It says something that Torino didn't want him back and there wasn't exactly a strong market for his services this summer.
Not a bad keeper, but nowhere as good as he thinks he is. Considering the relative transfer fees and wages, Fabianski is a far more suitable player for us. Thanks anyway Joe.

For the price difference between Fabianski and Hart... there is no point. Fab is a really good keeper but last season the defence was pretty bad so made him look worse than he actually is... Hart looked decent but was in a Champions league side.. so made him look better than he actually is. | | | |
