Yes. Mum had to pay for an abortion so that Tarquin could still go to uni and to save the family name being dragged through the dirt. Of course, Svetlana protested but the threat of a phone call to daddy's friend at immigration soon got her to see sense.
Good luck, Mr Cooper

All in the name of "kinder and gentler politics". Apparently.
A lot of the shortages are caused by the private sector production, not the govt, there is massive hoarding and price fixing .going on and a media campaign to discredit the govt coming from our friends across the pond They have a lot of oil too! It's a revolution by the better offs, but of course it's the poor who suffer as always.

I'm disappointed Corbyn hasn't at least tweeted (Christ, did I honestly just type "tweeted"? Shoot me) about Venezuela. He even found time to protest Stan Kroenke's involvement in hunting.

Too busy deleting his past comments about the place probably.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Very little private sector production left in Venezuela the Socialist have nationalised most of it which has resulted in the collapse of the oil industry which once made Venezuela the richest Country in South American with the Worlds largest oil reserves. Venezuela can not longer get international credit and cannot import enough food to feed it's population. It seems that Socialism has denied it's people their basic hum right to eat.
I see not one person on this thread (apart from Controversial Jack) has read or understood the situation in Venezuela.
The US is backing the opposition in Venezuela just like they are in Syria and Ukraine. All on behalf of the IMF, Federal Reserve, and the OPEC oil cartel. They tried a coup when Chavez was in power and failed, the same Chavez who made that country self sufficient and successful and was elected several times by the people of Venezuela. It's such a shame his successor is not up to the same level.
I thought this article was a fair and balanced look at the issues that Venezuela faces, and puts them into an understandable context. Surprise surprise, it's a tad more nuanced than the 'socialism bad' mantra some are peddling. Granted it's a year old but it's worth a read.

Just noticed your post now. The vast majority of production is privately owned, so you are not correct there. The oil industry hasn't collapsed but world oil prices have affected it badly. It's not socialism that's to blame but the private sector
