It's clear that we use Llorente as a pivot and stationary unit to build attacks from. Llorente is a fabulous header of the ball but it does make us very one dimensional. We are (were) set up in a way where if we scored then in all likelihood it would come either of those from the set piece or open play cross. Abraham offers a pivot, but is mobile to get in behind defences as well as create his own chances with his quick feet. We certainly will have more variety in our attacks and be less predictable now.
Many are making the mistake of looking for a player who is going to replace Gylfis goals when in all probability they will replace themselves by others in the team getting more chances than previous. I can almost guarantee our midfield will score more as a unit this season due to this. Hold me to that. |  |
