I was thinking about this the other day. What if there's a release clause in his contract that allows him to go to a club in Europe? Perhaps Everton are aware that they could get him for cheaper once they are in Europe proper, which is why this has dragged on for so long. | |

I was thinking about this the other day. What if there's a release clause in his contract that allows him to go to a club in Europe? Perhaps Everton are aware that they could get him for cheaper once they are in Europe proper, which is why this has dragged on for so long. |
That's a good point. Maybe he's cheaper on the continent, like a Renault, and if they drive him around for a few weeks before bringing him back they won't have to pay the extra.

Could it be maybe , just maybe that Gylfy really is quite happy hear and really wants to stay loyal to us, think about it, if you were happy and wanted to stay at a club where the fans loved you and you were the top earner and everything was rosy in your world, with your own business thriving and you didn't need anymore money, would you be happy if your employers told you, we want you to stay but if someone wants to pay £50m for you then we don't want you anymore.
I know I wouldn't be happy and maybe that is the reason why he wasn't in the right frame of mind to play in pre season friendlies. If the club wanted him to stay in reality they should have told all bidders to do one Not For Sale !!! |  |
