These people have visited my local club today and the naive fvckers on the committee seem very impressed with it all and are considering signing up! Looks dodgy as fvck to me, does anyone anything about this company or the legalities behind the deal they are offering?

Exactly, but i'd like to tell them something concrete. They're so dull that they think if the premier league take them to court then they in turn will sue this company!

It's all down to copyright. That company don't own the copyright on the matches no matter what therefore its not strictly legal - no matter how they spin it. I await someone who knows more about this to tell me I'm wrong.

So let me get this right, this company are basing their streaming rights on logo removal.
Plus the fact that it's coming from abroad, which I believe we already know is impossible to stop.
So basically they are flogging Kodi boxes.Mmmmm!

I think this company won a court case against Sky not so long ago.
But if they don't hold the licence not sure how it can be legit.

Yep, and selling it to pubs and clubs on the basis that previous prosecutions involve the showing of the Premier league logo.

Yes I think the copyright laws have been tightened up as well.
Pretty sure only a Sky and BT are authorised to show the games.
And that applied to all the foreign channels loads of pubs up here regularly show Boro on a Saturday afternoon.
Bit like Swansea was a few years back.
One of the local landlords told me he had a phone call off sky and they told him we are aware of what you are doing but will turn a blind eye if you put Sky in.
Think this happens a lot.

It's not Sky And BT who are chasing the landlords but the Premier league, you are quite correct in stating that the satellite channels are prepared to turn a blind eye if the full packages are being taken

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

I used to watch the Swans in a football club that subscribes to both Sky and BT. The broadcast I watched was subject to 'software interference' which obliterated the logos. They stopped showing matches, and the woman there said it was because 'they had received a letter'.

Not sure if it's still the case, but a few years ago it wasn't illegal for pubs to stream foreign broadcasts of Premier League matches. The Premier League got around this by placing their logo on all broadcasts. The logo is copyrighted, and the only broadcaster in the UK that holds the rights to display it are Sky and BT, thus rendering foreign broadcasts in the UK a breach of copyright. Providing this company successfully obscure the logos then they may infact be legal, providing the loophole hasn't been closed over recent years

It will have to include static adverts around the ground displaying the logo, players' shirt sleeves, electronic adverts (which are for all intents and purposes random so how can they know when to block them out unless the software recognises the shape instantaneously??).

Great if it's legit though. Can't find anything on google reviewing it.
