Answer me this though - whywould a player want to stay at a club that wants to sell him. If we didn't want to sell him then -
(a) why put a price of £50M in him?
(b) if he says he wants to go then just say "No - you've signed a contract".
Personally I believe he was perfectly happy here until the club said he could go for £50M. And I think if we don't do business with Everton, he'll be perfectly happy to try to keep us up for the 3rd season running. |  | | |

Wonderful sentiment indeed, talk is cheap though as we all know players are running football through their agents, one admirable stance won't change that, if one of his top players wants to move elsewhere he will 99% get his way.
As for Siggy, not sure what to make of it, haven't seen any direct qoutes that he wants to leave,can't understand that if he really wants to go why he hasn't put in a transfer request, is it Huw wanting the move more than Siggy ? i think it may well be, if siggy stays then it would highlight many short comings in transfers, meaning there won't be any!
