Stats, can someone explain? 21:05 - Aug 16 with 2481 views | karnataka | The stats say we didn't have a shot on target against Southampton but surely that shot from Tammy after he'd left a Saints defender on his arse in the box, was on target until it hit a retreating defender? Why does that not count? Forster certainly thought it was goalbound.

I think a shot on target is one that would have gone in if the goalkeeper hadn't stopped it or a defender had cleared it on the line. Tammy's shot hit a retreating defender who wasn't on the line - we don't know if it would have gone in. I was at the Southampton game, and based on my layman's definition above, I didn't see a shot on target. [Post edited 17 Aug 2017 21:28]

It was on target until it hit someone, ask Fraser Forster, he knew it was on target. Wow, you really do have some issues, don't you? Are you incapable of answering a simple question just with a simple answer? And my name isn't Jesus BTW.

This. Does not count if the defender blocks it - stupid really.
